Inclement Weather Policy for Early Dismissal Days policy

St. Mary’s School follows Alexandria City Public Schools regarding inclement weather announcements.

• If there is a one-hour delayed opening, on an 11:30 am dismissal day, St. Mary's School will begin classes at 9:00 am. Students may arrive at school beginning at 8:30 am.

• If there is a two-hour delayed opening, on an 11:30 am dismissal day, St. Mary’s School will be closed.

If circumstances warrant, a special announcement for St. Mary’s School, Alexandria will be made over radio stations WTOP (1500 AM) and WMAL (630 AM). 

A recorded message will be given on the school phone, 703-549-1646, in the event of closing or delayed opening.

The NVJCYO follows the policies of Fairfax County Recreation Leagues.  So if Fairfax county closes, then all NVJCYO games will be cancelled for that day.

In the event ACPS offices or schools are to be closed because of inclement weather or emergencies, the following message will be disseminated through the media designated below, beginning at 6:00 a.m.
